Our Process

During our initial phone call, we’ll talk about the general scope of your project, your hopes for a start or completion date, and yes, your budget expectations. We understand the budget question can be off-putting and negatively perceived, but rest assured our intention has everything to do with making sure we can accommodate your budget and the scope of work included. We respect your budget, but sometimes the two just don’t align. There is much to discuss, so we’re happy to talk through it, answer any questions and determine the next step.  

At the on-site consultation, our team will take a closer look at your space and discuss options in greater detail. We will also take photos and measurements. Depending on the scope of work and details involved, we can give you a verbal ballpark quote or we will schedule a second follow up meeting to review some rough ballpark pricing.

Now that you’re moving into the Design Phase, the design agreement is signed and a fee will be collected. The design fee varies based on the size and scope of the project. On average, the design process lasts 6-12 weeks. To try and make it as quick and seamless for you, we require this time in order to provide you with an accurate and detailed proposal.

Once the design agreement is signed, our Design Team will schedule a meeting with you to get things started. This is all about you and your vision, so they will listen to your ideas, ask questions and offer expertise wherever needed. It is a collaborative effort that is meant to take the stress off of you and add a little fun to the process! They will pull together concepts, colors and so much more! There is a lot that happens in the design phase which will be covered at the initial meeting with the team. Sometimes, the design and budget just don’t meet. We’ll do our best to bring them together.

Once the design phase has been completed and all of the selections have been made for your project we will schedule a pre-contract meeting. The project designer and project manager will attend the meeting at your home. The purpose of the pre-contract meeting is to review the project in it entirety, propose the completed design, and make sure everything has been thought of.

Planning is the most important part of any project. With proper planning, most, if not all of the events that make up the horror stories in our industry can be eliminated. With proper planning there should be no “surprises”.

The next step after the pre-contract meeting is to finalize the proposal and submit an up-to-date proposal based on the current design, scope of work, and selections you have made. There may be some negotiating on the proposal at this point. You may want to add an item that you had previously not included, or remove a few of the selections to bring the cost down. Once the proposal meets your approval, we will schedule a meeting for the contract signing, where we will set the start date and terms.

During the contract singing you will receive the production schedule for your project. This will include the material order lead-time, the payment schedule, and what will be happening every day throughout the duration of your project.

During the production phase, we will keep you regularly informed and updated on the progress of your project. We are available to you for any questions or last minute changes. Our staff will protect your home throughout the project using tarps and carpet protectors on the flooring. Putting up plastic and running a HEPA air filtration system to control the dust.

Our projects are cleaned daily, and our staff is polite, courteous, and a pleasure to work with. Our trade contractors are accustomed to our job site requirements and abide by our agreements.
