About bathroom remodeling
Tub & Showers
Small & Large Spaces
Do you dream of a spa-like escape?
Many homeowners dream of having a spa-like escape within their own home to soak away the stress of the work day, but their current master bathroom just isn’t cutting it. The shower is too small, the tub can’t be used because it leaks into the family room below, and the look is outdated and tired.
You get to the point where you can’t stand dealing with it any longer, and you decide it’s time for a change.
Perhaps all you really need for your escape is a larger walk-in shower. It could be tiled, enclosed in floor-to-ceiling glass, have multiple shower heads, and have a bench to relax on as the hot water blankets your body. If you’re tired of knocking shampoo and shower gel bottles off those little ledges or scattering them into the floor corners, you might consider adding a couple tiled niches in the walls of the shower. We also recommend including a foot niche or shaving bench in the design so that shaving doesn’t have to be a death defying balancing act. Looking for aesthetic appeal? A colorful accent of glass mosaic tile will give your shower a pop of panache.
You could, however, be a tub person. Maybe you prefer a sleek free-standing tub or jetted Jacuzzi to soak in along with a few scented candles lit around the perimeter—or a few dozen? Or do you prefer having your whirlpool sunken into the tub deck and only need a facelift with porcelain, slate, mosaic tile, or even teak wood?
Your current bathroom might not have enough space to keep everything organized and tidy. A custom his-and-hers vanity with soft-close doors and drawers can provide you with more storage for all your bathroom accessories. Many homeowners have a mirror medicine cabinet installed above their vanity for even more storage, and adding a linen cupboard to the space keeps all your bath towels and washcloths handy.
Maybe the kid’s bath or guest bath needs updating to bring it into the 21st century. We can replace the old acrylic tub and surround with an updated unit, or just replace the tub and install a tiled surround with its own shower niches. Those old pastel pink and blue tiles of the 70s and 80s can still be found in bathrooms around our area, and many homeowners are replacing them with larger porcelain tiles that have a more natural stone look. Installing under-mount sinks gives a nice, clean look to your vanity top and makes cleaning them a breeze.
Or maybe you’re close to retirement and thinking about your future needs. We can incorporate safety grab bars, a comfort-height toilet, and a walk-in tub or shower into a design that doesn’t sacrifice style. Whatever your dream bathroom remodeling includes, we love to come up with interesting and unique designs that are tailored to your taste and provide what you need to make the space enjoyable for you for years to come.

“We are very pleased with Dodson Builders’ work. They were very thorough from design to finish. Good communication, finished in a timely manner, very professional, and were easy to work with.”
“Dodson Builders has my utmost recommendation: from planning to execution, the entire process was professional and enjoyable. They listened to my wants and needs, and implemented each need with the perfect touch of functionality and personality. The owner, Peter, and Mike were extremely communicative and I always knew what was going on and what to expect. Luiz was like a house guest when in my home working, curious and friendly. They sought out new lighting alternatives that would best fit my needs as a visually impaired man, and went the extra mile to make sure all my needs were met. They were always timely, and my and daughter and I felt completely comfortable having them here working. I highly recommend.”
“I was very satisfied with Dodson Builders. Peter Dodson and his project manager provided excellent customer service, great follow up and detail. I would highly recommend them for any remodels and home construction projects.”
“Dodson Builders Construction was very easy to work with and the job looks great!”
“When my husband and I decided to remodel our second bathroom, we knew that hiring a contractor was in our best interest; we’d remodeled our kitchen a number of years ago and ran into numerous issues due to subcontracting the work ourselves. As you might imagine, the kitchen experience was a nightmare. But not this time! Peter was the obvious choice for us: a man of integrity who believes in providing his customers with the results they’re hoping for at a reasonable and realistic cost. Our boy’s new bathroom is beautiful!”
“Dodson Builders Construction Inc. provided services involving replacing our water heater and repairing a nearby wall that had sustained water damage. The wall repair and the water heater replacement were completed in a timely fashion and with an excellent quality of work!”
“We loved working with Dodson. After being ghosted by several other contractors, we were thrilled to find someone who actually made and kept appointments. They were so easy to communicate with and they worked around all of our weird requests (we wanted to do a lot of the finish work ourselves). Peter, the owner, came out personally multiple times to check on progress, answer any questions, and make sure we were completely happy. Lisa, the project manager, is so on top of everything and we always felt like she was working hard for us. And Luis, the head carpenter, was so fun to work with. He got everything done two weeks early while still feeling like part of the family. Our project was a part remodel and part addition of a master bathroom and we honestly couldn’t be happier with the work that was done.”
